Meeting Attendees: Anna Peitzman, Joyce Weaver, Desiree Corbett, Bryan Nicholls, Lori Anderson, and Amy Agidius

 

Items Discussed on Agenda:

​

-After classes start, setting a date for the whole chapter to get together for a meeting

​

-Tentative Date: 3rd week of classes

​

Spring program:

​

-March 1st? Robert Ryals scheduled to speak (possible... Noah Lenstra, Kim Dority)

​

-Anna will follow up with faculty advisor about hosting the event from 1-5pm on that day

​

Bryan will contact Noah Lenstra and reach out to Robert Ryals after Anna confirms with faculty host

​

Other speakers needed for this event?

​

Possibly contacting SLA members through member directory

​

Possibly contacting Janice to see about Builtmore archivist

​

Also, need to confirm with Kim Dority concerning date

​

-Making a change in bylaws to be more inclusive by adding a clause to admit members from other universities at chapter meeting tentatively scheduled for 3rd week of classes

Items Discussed on Agenda:

 

-SLA-UNCG spring event with Dr. Lenstra (live) and slides from Kim Dority (who could not attend)

low turnout but good participation.

-Bryan Nicholls will be the new President of SLA-UNCG

-Anna Peitzman will continue to assist in her ex-officio role as past president

-Kimberly Monica self-nominated as Webmaster

-Desiree Corbett self-nominated as Secretary

-Jason Melius seconded nominations

-Dr. Lisa O’Connor is the faculty adviser for SLA-UNCG

-Still need to fill Vice President and Treasurer Positions

-Will meet again in July or August to check-in before the beginning of Fall Semester
