July-August 2017 Call For Officers
Election Day planned. During this meeting we intend to hold final elections for the offices of Vice President and Treasurer for the 2017-2018 school year. March 1- Spring 2017 Program
Career Day planned. This event will include presenters who can provide us with insights into both special libraries and alternative employment for librarians, as well as basic advice for new librarians entering the job market.
November 17 Kim Dority
In addition to teaching, writing and her Infonista blog, Kim is also an advisor for MLIS students and LIS professionals exploring career transition points. Her presentation on November 17th will include the following topics:
Tips for resumes, interviews and how to speak LIS.
Internships and an LIS career path, including freelance work and other options.
Non-library experience and how to make it relate to your job search, advance your career, or switch careers within LIS.
